CTE Early Job Placement Program

 

The Early Job Placement (EJP) Program provides qualified seniors in select Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs with the opportunity to gain real-world work experience while completing their final semester of high school.

Through EJP, students transition from the classroom to a professional work setting, allowing them to apply the technical skills and knowledge they have developed throughout their CTE program in an authentic, career-focused environment.

Program Overview:

  • Available to senior students who have successfully progressed through their CTE program
  • Begins during the spring semester (typically March through May)
  • Students report to their job site during their scheduled CTE class time (Monday–Thursday)
  • Students return to their CTE program on Fridays for check-ins, reflection, and progress monitoring
    • Schedule may vary based on employer and/or program

Student Expectations:

  • Secure an approved placement aligned to their career pathway (paid or unpaid)
  • Maintain strong attendance, academic standing, and program performance
  • Demonstrate professionalism and represent their school and program positively
  • Complete weekly reflections and meet all program requirements

All placements are approved and monitored by CTE staff to ensure a safe, meaningful, and high-quality work-based learning experience.
