Advanced Manufacturing & Welding Technologies
The Advanced Manufacturing & Welding Technologies program at MAGNET provides students with a hands-on, real-world learning experience designed to prepare them for high-demand careers in modern manufacturing. Students develop technical skills in industrial systems, mechanical and electrical maintenance, CNC machining, welding processes, automation, robotics, instrumentation, and safety standards, while also strengthening problem-solving, teamwork, and professional competencies. During their senior year, will go to Cleveland State University and Lakeland Community College two days a week, where they train in state-of-the-art CNC and welding labs using industry-grade equipment. Through the consortium’s partnership with MAGNET, a nonprofit organization that supports manufacturing companies across Northeast Ohio, students gain access to work-based learning opportunities, internships, and direct exposure to regional employers, positioning them for industry credentials, continued postsecondary education, or immediate employment in advanced manufacturing and welding careers.

MAGNET is a nonprofit organization that works to support small and medium-sized manufacturing companies across northeast Ohio. Partnering with MAGNET will give students increased opportunities for work-based learning, internships, and access to manufacturing equipment and expertise.
